I've re-discovered pomagranites, (how DO you spell that???) & am wanting to eat them daily! I love to cut them into sections, like an orange, then pulling all the seeds out in a big pile, then pouring the juice left in my cup of water, & eating them by the spoonful, & once I'm done, drinking the juice...I've been wondering if I can put them in my smoothies (can the seeds be consumed? If you know, lemme know!!!) But right now, I'm just loving them off the spoon!
So the shedding Christmas tree leaves our livingroom today, & I'm setting up the exercise area again! Woohoo, I can't wait! I'm also going to re-commit to accountability with RawFoodTalk, & with family & friends.
My visit with my sis was really eye-opening, & convicting.
I was so tired & achey I only left the house once, for church, the entire visit (5 days) & finally faced the fact that I truly have become somewhat of a recluse, {though I still get out on average twice a week, when I have rides...}at first, it was cuz of the IBS symptoms, that comes with my fibromyalgia, but as I've been more raw, that's been less & less...but my fitness level & strength have declined, making it hard to be on my feet long, or walk too far...so I basically only go out when I have a ride...but I'm determined to change that. I live within walking distance of everything I need, & shouldn't still need rides for everything!!! When I moved here 8 months ago, my goal was to walk daily & finally not be so dependant on others. It's time to aim for that goal again!
Today, when I go to church, I'm going to get out of the van a block early & make myself walk home...& every time I go out, I'll do that! I'm working up to daily walks, but am just not there yet...once I get back to exercising, & expecially stretching daily, I know my body won't protest so much.
My other goal is that when I watch ANY health/weight loss shows ("Biggest Loser", or "You are What You Eat" (which features mostly raw, whole foods!) I will be exercising! I USED to only let myself watch TV while I exercised, but it's been a long while sinse I've been that disciplined with it...I'm always doing something when I watch, but it's time to use the time more wisely again, especially because I have to do my exercise in spurts, not being about to go too long at one time still.
So the countdown has begun...weigh in, measurements, & HOPEFULLY pics posted on January First...I love new beginnings! They always remind me of the Bible verse, "God's mercies are new every morning!"
Have a peaceful, joyful day, everyone! Choose the foods that God gave us for fuel, & resist the temptation to eat the man-make, artificial substitutes that tear down, rather that build up! Day by day, victory is attainable!

You can eat pomegranate seeds! Yum, one of my favorite things! Great fibre. In fact, my last blog post was all about pomegranate seeds. Nice blog!
