My Raw Coach...a GODSEND!

Today, i woke up feeling sick from the junk I ate yesterday, no appetite, feeling blah...then, I talked with Shannon, my sister-friend & my own personal raw food coach, & she advised me to make some raw chocolate pudding, even if I wasn't hungry now, to have in the fridge for later, (knowing what a chocolate addict I've been for years, & that I yeilded to the cravings yesterday...)
As I was making it, I started to get hungry...by the time we were DONE making it, Hannah & I both were ready to dig in...& it was soooo delicious!!! {Better than the 'regular' stuff!} I've never been one to eat chocolate moderately, but this is sooo satisfying that it was easy to just stop when my body told me to!
I know that planning & preparing things a little ahead of time (or at least having everything ready to be prepared, dishes out & ready, ingredients gathered, etc.) is going to be a key component of my victory in raw living...once I'm fully established, I'm sure i can relax a wee bit on preparing ahead of time...I think I definately have blood sugar issues going on, when hunger hits, I'm suddenly trembly, weak, have to eat right NOW, & I know I usually wait to long, though lately, I've been grabbing a piece of fruit as soon as i begin feeling weird, & that prevents me from getting ravenous!
Anyways, so here's what we made this morning...it was enough for two, with the little bowl in the fridge left for later...
~ 3 avacadoes
~ few squirts of raw agave nectar (a natural sweetener not heated in making, that can be found now in most health food stores, or likely ordered online...takes waaaaay less than honey or sugar, & actually has things in it that are GOOD for you! It's low on the glycemic index, so it doesn't give blood sugars a spike, & is safe for diabetics to use!)
~ half a cup or so of (preferrably raw) organic cocoa powder, (the non-organic has high pesticide residual amounts, & in chocolate factories, they allow so many bug parts per gallon....ewwww, gross!!! I heard this from someone who worked in one, said that with organic processing, they are a LOT more stringent! (hence, the higher price!)
~ about half a cup, maybe closer to a cup of pure water {add a bit at a time, as you're blending it, to get the desired thickness}
~ I sometimes add pure vanilla (a tablespoon or so), but today, i was out of it, so i added a bit of vanilla syrup someone gave me...{ok, i know, it's not raw, but to me, once I've tried this with a bit of vanilla, it tastes too avacado-y without it...so i used it anyways...when it's gone, I'll only use pure vanilla, i promise!}
Blend it all together {best with a handheld blender, but a regular one will work} in a deep bowl (so you get to eat it, not wear it) & refridgerate, if you can wait an hour or so, it tastes even better really cold!
You can also throw berries on top, serve it in dessert dishes, & wow your family & friends! Don't tell 'em what it's made out of until they've tried it! (I used to do that with tofu weiners, they never noticed the difference!) Then be prepared to give out the recipe!

So thanks, Shannon, for your wisdom, support, encouragement, & gettin' me to plan ahead! I've already got the fixin's of a big salad waiting for when I'm hungry again, & am going to get in some exercise today, no matter what else i do!
If any of you need support on your raw journey, she's the gal to go to! she's fulla wisdom, insight, great ideas, tips, advice, & is an excellent & discerning listener! (& a great friend!) She knows LOTS about RAW, & is learnin' more by the day! Check out her blog, lotsa neat stuff happenin' with her life along these lines! Here's the link again, in case ya missed it the first time... http://butterflytrails.blogspot.com/

Now off to do laundry, & then maybe even a little quilting!!! Woohoo!!!
{By the way, that's Hannah's hand sneaking a bite while i was trying to take the pictures! & yes, that's a toaster in the background! A soon-to-be-gone-toaster!!!}

Way to go girl!!! You CAN do this - you are not alone and don't you ever forget it.

Your explanation of me seems far and above what I feel I am. I am just humbly grateful to be able to help anyone on their journey. What a blessing God's wisdom is!

That's funny, i was tempted by chocolate commercials, & now you were by my blurry picture! See, who needs expensive ad campaigns???
It was even WAY better after sitting in the fridge for a few hours...i need more avacadoes now!!! (Though i may limit myself to once a week or so, seeing as we used 3!)
Thanks for commenting! It's nice to know someone's reading my ramblings!
