~Fell down, got up~

At the end of this week of major pressure from a deadline i had a lot of work to do to prepare for, I blew it...ordered pizza, 2 nights in a row...& still feel soooo bloated from the salt, so plugged up, so gross...each time I've broken raw, it makes me more & more aware of how it affects me physically...{I'm paying more attention now, i guess} and each time, it's easier to walk away, & not have it turn into a weeklong {or monthlong, like it used to!} struggle~
This time, i got right back to raw after the 1st one, but gave in, in exhaustion & weakness again the next night, & then, i recognized that it was too much for my body, & it wanted/could handle no more! I was able to just stop then, & get raw again, & could feel my body's response, like a big sigh of "Whew, thank-you...now please don't do that again!" Yesterday & today, after doing that to myself, I've had little appetite...{& feel like i need to take in a bunch of fiber, if ya know what i mean!} I'm grieved that i blew it, but also relieved to recognize that I'm learning to listen to my body's messages clearer than ever before, & respond apporopriately, rather than how i used to!
Today, I'm returning to taking the time to do what i know my body needs, now that the pressure of the last week is over...time for juicing, smoothies, movement, fresh air, sunshine, & nothin' but raw, natural, healthy nourishment!
{& my weight went up 8 lbs from all the salt & junk in those 2 meals! 8 lbs!!! Yuck! It was sooooooooooooooooo not worth it, for so many reasons!!!
Lesson learned..well, ok, RE-learned!}

Of course you told me not to come look at your blog so I immediately had to come look. Pizza. Of all things on a day I’m ranting about pizza in hospitals. I know about putting on 10 pounds from salt in a day or two. I’ve fallen off weight watchers, McDougall’s low fat vegan diet, and raw and put on lots of water weight real fast. Sounds like you’ve got the right attitude about it. Find the lesson and come on back to raw. Talk to you soon.

Thanks, guys, for not givin' up on my ability to do this! I'm back on the horse! (& one day, I'll actually be able to ride one again, like i long to!)
When i read what you wrote about pizza, valerie, it was so conviting! No, having lotsa veggies on it does NOT make it healthy! Lol!
